FREEZE!

JINX

Okay, so I'm LOVING this phone so far. One thing that's kinda bugging me is how much it's been freezng up lately... I mean, I had to 'soft reset' the damn thing like 3 times today. I'm not doing anything weird or strange either. Most of the time it seems to freeze when I try to close the net and take it back to the 'Today' screen. Anyone have any ideas??

Take a look at your Running programs (in the Settings/Memory area) and see what all is running. You may have something out there that you don't realize which is causing problems. I found that removing some software I had loaded to customize various things on the 6700 resolved my freezing problem.

Most definitely something you have loaded on it.

When I first got mine I went thru and installed everything I thought I might want on it. Finding which programs worked and which did not.

Then hard reset the unit and started over with just the list of what I really needed. Before that I was also locking up/freezing on a regular basis throughout the day.

If you've got the patience start over and just install one thing at a time. Also keep in mind if you have an application on the Today screen you'll get the best performance from it if that app is install in main memory. Accessing the storage card is only a little slower, but it really adds up when it is a Today screen plugin.
