I'm currently a Blackberry user but want to switch over the Mobile 5. I've been waiting around for the Motorola Q for months but I'm getting tired of waiting...

How's the 6700 w/ Verizon? I hear that its a good PDA but a not so good phone...

I currently have about 300 contacts in my phone, the Blackberry does a great job of helping me pull up phone numbers quickly - I just have to type the first couple of letters of my contact's name. Does the 6700 make is as easy or is it a hassle to pop open the keyboard and search for the desired contact? Also, is the touch screen keypad usable?

Thanks in advance for your input

I just purchased the XV6700 yesterday after reading tons of positive reviews about it.

So far, the phone is very sweet. It has pretty much all the bells and whistles you could ask for.
To answer your question about the contacts... there is definitely a way to retrieve your contacts easily, and you have several ways of retrieving them. in fact if you have "Voice Command", which is a voice recognition software that you can install, you don't even have to touch any key to dial...

The only couple of things that I don't really like about it so far, and they're minor:
1- The screen seems to be pretty hard to see in direct sunlight.
2- The stylus doesn't lock in very well in its slot, so it's easy to lose it (I went ahead and bent mine s...

Yes, it does have MMS, and you can send pics back and forth. (make sure you get a pix&flix plan though, otherwise, the charges will rack up pretty quick.

the phone does have picture ID, and the picture pretty decent size when you have an incoming call. (it doesn't fill the whole screen though). I haven't tried to email ringtones and pics to the phone, but I don't see why you can't do that, although an easy way to do this would be to sync up these files from your computer... but I would think email should work as well.

Bigack, you hijacked my post - the MMS question is way off topic, should've started a mew thread.

Gkhairallah, thank you for your feedback, its been a few days, how do you feel about your XV-6700 now, still happy with it?

Thanks!
