Is the camera really that bad???

hey guys, I was playing around with the camera on my XV6700, and I noticed that the camera is REALLY bad. I don't know if it's just my phone or what, but it seems like the lens has absolutely no aperture control. if there is any kind light, the pictures comes out all white... is this normal? anyone else experiencing the same problem? is there some setting that I'm missing out here? because with the way things are, the camera use is pretty much unaccetable, it plain doesn't work except in very very specific conditions...

any ideas?

it's a freaking phone, what did you expect a canon rebel? i bought my phone because it's an awesome pda PHONE, and the camera is a bonus, if you really need a good camera, then get a good camera....sorry to sound so harsh, but this is one of my biggest pet peaves 🙂

haha...I hear ya. I actually went ahead and bought the phone regardless. the camera isn't that great. but yeah.... the fact that this phone is an awesome pda makes ignore the camera.

I think at this point if someone asks this question... I would answer them the same way you answered me 🙂

I guess I didn't really know what to expect.... since this is my first camera phone. its really not that bad after all 🙂

cheers!

My camera on my device is not bad at all. I actually have to admit that it is one of the best cameras on a cellphone/pda that I've seen (and I work for sprint). Even the videos are not that bad either.
I don't know if there's any difference between Sprint's version and Verison's version but my Sprint PPC-6700 takes great pics.
