Firmware Update for PPC6700

This may be old news, but thank goodness for the firmware update for my Alltel PPC6700. It is located at the UT Starcomm website, http://www.utstar.com/pcd/Downloads.aspx
It has a real screen lock so I do not call people accidentally, eliminates the flight mode activation and adds voice dialing upgrades even though I already use the MS product.
You may have to select PPC6700 from the drop list on the left, but the screen lock works awesome, NO key activation unless YOU want it!!

Is your phone from Verizon or Sprint? I don't think they have released an updated firmware yet for the Verizon phone. I have also read on other forums of people who flashed their Verizon 6700 with the Sprint 6700 firmware and it caused major problems.

I ran the update on the Verizon phone using the previously posted url and I had no problems. Got all my programs loaded and voice-dial works (you have to enunciate), wi-fi and phone simultaneously....no issues.
I was ready to take this thing back the other day (just got it two days ago), but the voice-dial and flight-mode really make a difference.
