I was originally going to have a friend get a cingular plan and buy the v3i then give him my phone but since it doesnt seem cingular will ever get this phone I see there are links to buy v3is online unlocked... What is the difference? what will I need to do to use this phone? Just swap a sim card or is there more to it then that. Will the itunes feature work on this phone? I don't really want it for any other reason then using mp3s as ringtones. Would I be better to wait for cingular to get an actual one or would buying one off the links on here be fine. Thanks

I just put our sim cards in, and had a blue Cingular rep walk me through setting the MMS settings. I don't use Mmode, but I could set that up, if I wanted to. Question.

Non-iTune phone's music ez to sync like iTunes?

With iTunes, once the music is imported into iTunes (which I do via an automated batch process), all I do is to plug in my iPod at night and it does it, I don't even have to sign onto the PC if I don't want to.

You can use mp3s as ringtones on a regular V3--you don't need a V3i for that.
