Does this phone work with a data cable
I have a sprint sanyo 8200 currently downgraded from a sanyo 8300 because the 8300 did not allow me to connect to the internet via data cable on my laptop. I was curious if the new Sanyo 7500 works with a data cable and laptop setup.

It does, and in fact you'll be able to use higher speed data if you are in an EV-DO coverage area. Sprint is selling a rate plan for this use however
