the rumor of the June 18th date change has yet to be confirmed. I wouldn't believe it until it is posted on the verizon website or you can personally correspond with the administrator.

Subject: V710 Question
1. Is it true that the V710 Exchange deadiles has been exchanged to June 18th. A friend of mine claims to have an email or press release stating that.
2. If a phone is not listed on the Exchange site, can I buy it at the local store?
3. What is the return policy on the replacement phone?
Here is what I would like ...

Thanks, UofDVZW. Hard to believe that first post I made on HoFo about the Class Action vs. VZW was on 12-29-2004 and here we are a year and a half later.

Look at all of the posters in the V710 forum who were fighting the Class Action idea.

I totally remember. I bought the phone the day it came into my store.. I was so ticked about the OBEX issue. My Moto rep told me that it was going to have it.. and then the run around from VZW the lawsuite was the best way to get VZW to listen.. Its hard to beleive that in two years how prevalant BT has become.
True, but this new Q looks like it is going to have a full Bluetooth stack.
Maybe all of our rants, class actions and bad publicity for Verizon made a difference after all.

A C-net review said it won't have bluetooth Dial up networking(DUN).
C-net has published different specs than Phonescoop, like the display specs on the V3c.
My money is on Phonescoop, check the info tab:
Supported Profiles: SPP, FTP, OPP, DUN, GOEP, HSP, HFP, BPP, A2DP, AVRCP, GAVDP, HID, BIP
The phone will have DUN but vzw official response is that they don't support it.
This is similar to saying that the v3c does not support OBEX even though it does. my guess is that vzw is working on new data rights to prevent people from tethering to their network. Its most likely going to be similar to how the new firmware of the E815 blocks DUN to the EVDO network.. the phone dials but is rejected when being used as a modem.
