Data plan required
Ive heard tons of different things and i know this has been covered before and i did check but everytime i read something, another post just contradicts it. Do you need a data plan or can u just do a pay as you go cause i know i wont be using it. THanks
...
NO you do not need a data plan to own the phone...you'll just be paying 299.99 on a 2yr or 419.99 if you buy it outright.
now just so you know smartphones and PDAs are always on devices.. the constantly talk to the network looking for emails syncing and other stuff.. if you do not disable the data features in the phone you are running a risk of getting a HUGE phone bill plus you loose a lot of functionality which is what makes the phone so great.
...
how do i disable the data feature, and i assume i do, wut things wud i lose?
...
well web browsing, email, wireless sync ie phone contacts to name a few.. as to how you disable these features I have no idea lol. this will be my first time using mobile 5.0 so time will tell with that one.
Bottom line is what makes this phone atractive
to you?
to me it is having that connectivity in a nice sleek package, I will be paying the $25.00 extra to have all that stuff. to me it seems like a bargin since I currently page 79.99 for 1350 anytime + 15.00 for VCAST which I use because I'm always on the web browser and 10.00 in txt message
currently my bill is 109.99
and with the Q my bill will be exactly the same

idk im a senior in high school the main thing i want in this phone is just the text messaging. But im also the kind of person that loves new technology and being the first one to have it.

Hmm. You might want to get that summer job. Heck, I might want to get that summer job! 😕
...
