I have an existing Alltel account / number I need to transfer to Verizon.. Does anyone know if it's possible to purchase the new Q online and also facilitate the transfer of my AllTel phone number?

Thanks!!!

Hi. I tried ordering the Q as an uprgade through my company's B2B website last night. It posted the price at retail, $419. However, after reading up on the $199 deals, I decided to put it through as a new phone, and there it was....my company discount price of $149. I ordered it instantly and it was processed. Got the email today that it was shipped.

How long have you had your existing phone? If one signs a two year contract, that line is not eligible for an equipment upgrade until twenty-two months from the date of purchase of your old phone. If one signs a one year contract, that line is not eligible for an equipment upgrade until ten months from the date of purchase. I'm thinking that if you tried to upgrade and were given the full retail price of the phone, then you were not eligible to upgrade on that line. It looks like you will be returning that Moto Q. You activated a new line of service and should be receiving a new phone number.

Don't try doing this online.. The verizon website did NOT allow me to specify transfer of my AllTel number... It DID let me transfer an existing Verizon number (which I don't have).

Plus the online orders are 4 days behind.

I walked into a verizon store yesterday at 6pm and walked out at 7pm with a Q along with my number from Alltel already transferred to my new phone.
