I currently have a v710, if i buy the Q will i have to upgrade my plan for the 79 a month minimum? I understand this is nessecary to get the phone for $199, if i dont have to get it, how munch is the phone w/o the data plan.
I do not want to have data access for email and such, i just want to use the phone as a cell phone and pda.

mike the answer to this has been posted many many many times in this forum.
if you don't want data you don't have to change plans and it'll be 299.99 with a 2yr
now if you want data your best bet is to get a bundled data plan starting at 79.99 if you select one of the data bundles the phone will cost you 199.99 out of pocket.
its that simple

oh and if you happen to be NE2 eligible you'll receive a discount depending on which plan your on it could be 50 or a 100.00 off

Mike, I work for Cellular Sales and we are not allowed to send a PDA device out the door without the data package b/c of the potential bill liability. You see your device is constantly communicating with the towers even without a data package. If it is not sent out the door properly you could wind up with a $11,000 bill (actually saw this 2 months ago). You can have the data feature removed after you purchase the phone though. But make sure they document that you requested this and that you do not want or intend to receive data. That is what happened to the above individual and VZW fixed her bill since it was documented that she did not want the data service.
