New Moto Q screen fonts fuzzy and out of focus, what gives??
I just my new Q today, first impression, screen quality stinks, everything seems out of focus and it hurts my eyes, also menus are slow.
Anyone else have problems with this, maybe I got a bad phone ??????? 😢

Check if it has some sort of screen protector on it. If it does, peel it off. Those are never really meant to see through.

Thanks, but no its definitely not that. It looks like a cheap LCD monitor combined with a crappy graphics card. I had several people look at it at my office and all said it was awfull.

I had this same issue on my Dell Axim Pocket PC. It was later I discovered the fonts had CLEAR TYPE enabled. I dis-enabled it and it was crisp since. The clear type feature is like a pixel smoother, however it never seems to work that great. Have the same issue on my Samsung PC monitor. I uncheck the clear-type and it works great!
I have yet to locate this option in my new Q. It might be a registry item.

It does have some lag, but you can try
Start --> system tools(last option) --> task manager. to see if you have a lot of stuff running. it is like the ctl+alt+delete screen for windows mobile
good luck

Actually I thought it was slow right out of the box. I noted others have also complained. I had my corporate Verizon guy get me this unit today and I found out from a friend in LA that they already stopped shipping them there due to problems.
The focusing part is really messing up my eyes though, my vision gets completely thrown off after looking at it for a while.

oh well maybe mine was one that is uneffected.

Mine is crystal clear - even better than my home PC.
I pulled up CNN.com and couldn't believe the quality of the lead news photo.
I'd say you got a defective one.

Perfect, that's the answer I was looking. I've talked to my Verizon guy and get a replacement. Thanks !!!!!!!!!

Try finding the CLEAR-TYPE font and uncheck it.
