Does anyone know if, or where you can get software for WM5.0 for smartphones to connect to a PC or server through Remote Desktop Connection/Terminal Services similar to the application that comes with Pocket PCs???

Remote Desktop Connection/Terminal Services,

I'm needing the same thing. I've had the Samsung i730 (too many problems...) and it was included. I have to have it or the Q goes back... Any ideas?

Thanks,

B

Could you post the link to the Moto forum where this is being discussed, I've not got the Q yet, I'm thinking I might have to go with a Treo.

Only a few of the same questions on the site about remote desktop or terminal services. I spent a great deal of time on the phone with both Motorola and Verizon. Both say it is not a program they support... It's a deal killer for me if there isn't a third party program available for it... Any news?

Doesn't look like it would do the same. I need to be able to do updates and reboot the server I connect to. Here is what I received today from Morola so my phone is going back...

I don't have a Q yet, so I haven't tried it myself. I see no reason why it shouldn't work since all you need is a web browser to be able to use your home computer, or any other computer.

It seems a little pricey to me, although Verizon Online customers could get it for half the price.

Let me know if it works. I'm planning to get the Q next month, Lord willing, and I would like to half this capability.
