I don't understand what the big fuss over this phone is about and for heaven sakes I don't understand why ppl are surprised their Motorola Q's are bad and or defective.
First of all, let me just say I own a Motorola e815. Probably one of the best out there. To me reception wise ONLY! I own many Motorola phones in my life and to be honest the only one that worked the best was the Startac.
Nothing in the modern age we are living in now can compare to that phone. All Motorola phones have excellent reception. The most from my experience do. All Motorola phones tend to freeze. What is up with that? They all lag. Don't let me start on the RAZR for crying out loud. That is the King of lag.
If I were you, I would stay away from this or any other Motorola device. Its a waste of money. Cheap made and the battery life, oh another issue. The Q is a nice looking phone, by picture only. It will continue to sell and at the same time be returned. Its not solid built one bit. You hear complaints about the feel of the Q and how it feels cheap.

Hello!! Get yourself an LG 9800 or a BB 7130e or so and you will see a difference in Quality, Reception, Performance, and most importantly, you'll be one satisfied customer.
Trust me. the same people who post, oh I love my Q will next week say----- RETURNED!!!
