Yeah, you have to type in the numbers. Eventhough the arrows give you the impression that you can scroll up or down.
Does anyone know how to get a LOUD ring for the alarm clock? I used my V710 as a travel alarm clock because it had a very loud ring choice. The Q doesn't seem to have any that are really loud for the alarm clock.

Under sounds choose a really annoying ring-tone, then under your current profile set the alarm volume to loud. That should do the trick.
