Dead Q

I've had my Q since Wednesday and I've loved it up until . . . . . right about now. It froze up a few times during internet browsing and restarted itself. After the third time of doing this, it restarted, showed the Verizon logo and then went completely white. It makes a great flashlight though.

As of now, the good still out-weigh the bad and I'm going to try Q #2 tomorrow and hopefully it will have a longer life than this one.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I had to reboot 2x in my first day of use (most crashes were caused by internet browsing)

I just held down the power and rebooted.
I didn't get the dead screen you're talking about though.

Are you sure it's "dead".
I had an issue yesterday where my low-battery indicator sounded, but the battery monitor (power management menu) showed I still had 25% left.

All of a sudden, my screen got very dark and I was unable to turn on the phone at all.
It appeared "dead" - but was really just a totally trained battery.

When the battery is in this state - you can't charge via computer USB - you have to use the AC charger.
This solved the issue.

Is it possible your battery just died?

Yes, had the EXACT same problem- logo and then white. I'm pretty sure it's battery related. I installed my charged extended battery and everything went back to normal.

I also tried charging the standard battery via USB and it didn't work (or I didn't wait long enough). Although I did get the battery charging screen.

Removing the battery and trying to run the phone just via USB doesn't work either. I guess the USB port doesn't provide enough juice for power.

The USB cable is not a rapid charger!!! Just a mid rate at that.
