Q available without data plan?
Does anyone know when or if the Q will be available without having to get one of those data plans? I'm, dying to get the Q, but if I am obligated to pay $80 a month for it then I'll just forget it.

Or, just call *611 and ask them to add the Data Block feature - then it operates like any other phone, but with all the non-internet windows mobile features still active. and you can transfer things to the phone (pictures, sounds, etc.) without paying verizon's ridiculous fees.

Ok..I don't follow. Before the Q came out someone mentioned how this phone would first be available to b2b clients w/mandatory data plan and soon after w/out it...was that rumor true?
What I see on vzw's site is I can only buy this phone if I signup for a phone & data plan of at least 80 bucks. I don't want to pay that much for my service but I do want the phone.
The Q, at least on the site, is not included among the list of phones that be used with the pay as you go plans. So that idea doesn't appear to work out.
Is it possible to just sign up for the cheapest phone & data plan then downgrade my service to a phone only plan?

Just go into the store and get one they will bug you about a data plan, but just say no. or call on the phone andorder it. You do not need the data plan. it is $300 with out a data plan. just go get it, and be carfull not to use the internet. You can have the data blocked, but it will also block pix messages too.
