How do I take "Wireless Sync" of my home screen??
I don't need it because I'm using ActiveSync and would like to free up the screen space and keep it from starting up when I plug in the USB cable.

I don't know how you can take it off your home screen - but I do know how to stop Active Sync from running when you plug in USB.
On your PC desktop - right click on the Activesync icon and choose "connection settings"
Disable the last option: "Open Active Sync when my device connects"
However - I don't know if this will also disable USB charging / maintaining.
