Sending Mail Automatically?

skeets123

When I'm writing/sending an email on the Q I hit "send" but the email isn't actually sent until the next time that I initiate a "send/receive".
Is there any way to configure it so that the email gets sent automatically when I hit "send" on an outgoing email?

No.... the best you can do is decrease the interval for which your phone sends and receives automatically (I believe 15 minutes is the best you can do)

Just get used to sending email being a two-step process. Write your email(s), then manually initiate a send/receive.

For me this behavior is actually necessary, since I'm using an SMTP server that's heavily locked down to prevent spam relaying, and will only allow authorized users a 30-second window to send mail just after logging in to check mail. So if the email client tried to actually send the mail when I was done typing it, it would keep getting bounced back.

Sure, at least depending on what type of email system you are using. My emails are sent immeidately through my exchange server using activesnyc. In the activesync "menu" go to "schedule" and check the box that says "Send outgoing items immeidiately" - then you should be all set.
