what does the 2 oppposite arrows mean in the satt icon

Data transfer is in process. Q can't phone and data at the same time. If someone calls you when data transfer is in process they will go straight to voice mail.

Even with no applications open it always shows the two arrows, task manager is empty.

The double arrows don't interfere with my phone usage, maybe it just indicates you are in a data coverage area rather than just digital/phone coverate.
