Wireless-sync and Outlook Sub Folders

My Outlook at work is configure to use Exchange (withOUT a pst) and I have rules that auto-move certain emails to sub-folders. Does Wireless-sync still send the email to the Q from these subfolders? Or does anyone know of a 3rd party software that does?

I have yet to get the Q, haven't decided between the Q or 700w or 700p. Still up in the air about it.

I got to ask you a question first. Do you have direct access from the web for exchange (ex. outlook web access)? If so I would recommend that other than the wireless sync because the Motorola Q and Palm 700w can be synced directly to exchange and get mail, contacts, calendar, and tasks. (Palm 700p I assume is very simular to 650) 650 can only access (if I remember correctly) email and calendar. I think wireless sync can only do mail.

Hello. The vice president of our company got his Q last week as a replacement of his Treo 650. He is still syching with Verizon Wireless Sync because I can't make the activesync to work.

Do you have a step-by-step instruction on how to configure both the Exchange Server 2003 SP2 side and the Q device side?

Or do you have a link for me to go to?

Thanks in advance.

Here is one of the sites I went to to learn how to setup the first time. http://www.petri.co.il/configure_oma.htm
just follow the steps and you should be ok.. one thing I had problems with was the certicate for SSL login. I know you need to get the one on the server exported and imported to the handheld for the unit to allow it but could not quite get it right. About the time I was close to solving the problem the company decided they needed to go a different direction. oh well.. hope that link helps.

Try this link for configuring everything:

As far as subfolders go, my phone does not sync with the subfolders, just my inbox (although i believe i had the opition of syncing the subfolders). I believe the "rules" i created for my email work on the server side - so only emails that make my "inbox" make it to my Q.

Also, if I believe if you are using an exchange server, you can go into Outlook / Tools/ Email Accounts / [your email account]/ properties/ remote mail - you can set up rules for sending things to your phone

Hope this helps
