mp3 sound low...have to hold "speakers" to ear
For the 1st few days I didnt have too, but now if I listen to mp3's I have to hold the phone practically near my ear in order to hear mp3's. Ringtones play at normal volume. Yes, volume in WMP is up at 100%.
Is there an option somewhere to adjust the volume for this that is causing this to occur?

two things control the volume. up and down on the center pad, and the click wheel. if the center pad is turned all the way down the click wheel wont do much.
the best course of action is to quit using Windows Media Player and use TCMP instead

I had the same problem for a few days and went crazy looking for a solution until my 13 year old schooled me by reading the users manual. I had the WMP player at 100% but wma's just werent anywhere near as loud as they were out of the box.
What you are looking for is called "Earpiece Volume" and it can be found by pressing and holding the click wheel when in the home screen.
Once you have invoked that screen, roating the click wheel up or down will increase a "master volume " of sorts.
Apparantly, I had inadvertantly adjusted this volume...and this fixed the problem.

I totally disagree with using TCPMP Win Media Player is way better for managing and playing music.
There is more sound settings for audio under Start - Accessories - Audio Enhancement
