Motorola Q
No Streaming Sound
I've checked in this forum and can't seem to find this issue replicated, so any help would be appreciated.
My phone rings just fine, but I can't hear anything that streams - XM, for example, and when I try opening my ringtones through WMP, it says they are playing, but I get no sound.
I read one post but it referred to earpiece volume, and it's the phone speakers that are giving me a problem. My phone rings and my reminders all work, even those that are MP3s.

Anyone else having this problem? Also when choosing a ring tone and i push play to sample it... i get no sound. Thanks for any inside on this. Ubie

I don't have a Motorola Q yet, but I had a similar issue on my Windows based Notebook.
It turns out that the volume on my midi synthesizer was muted. I just had to go into the volume settings and unmute it.
I'm not sure where you would go for the Q, or if the Q even has such a setting, but I figured it would be worth a try.

i ended up taking my Q in to be looked at. the tech could not figure it out. anothe tech had a Q and his settings wer the same as mine. in the end they swapped me out for another one.

For all of you that are experiencing this issue the fix is simple. This is possibly caused because the earpiece volume is turned right down. Simply hold the scroll wheel in for a couple of seconds and you should see the volume bar. You will probably find that it is turned right down, if it is turn it up from here using the scroll wheel. this will fix the problem.
