Motorola Q issues

Has anyone encountered these issues, this is my 2nd Q with the same issues:

about every couple days, the Q won't power on after being idle. The battery has a good charge, the phone won't ring when receiving calles either. The only way to power back on is to remove batter and put back in.

also on a different issue: ... even though it shows good EVDO signal strength, I can't send or receive data, and i can't make any voice calls. The only way to solve this is to power off and then on again. I've had these same issues with 2 Q's so far.

Master reset didn't seem to help.

Any suggestions.

thanks in advance

I get the first issue all the time, and I just accept it as a windows thing. I made a switch to macs about two years ago and forgot what it was like for a machine to freeze up, reboot or just plain shut down. This is the first time i've been back to a windows machine of any kind since then. It's nice to know somethings never change. 🤣

The second problem I don't think I've had. I was having problems using EDVO and logging on to get my email. I was getting a Login Error message, but I talked to support, and they were able to fix it over the phone. The had to disable all the features on my accountand re-enable them again, and now it seems fine. Knock on wood. Essentially they reset everything without me having to do a hard reset...

In response to the software "glitch", Verizon should aquire the new software to remedy the glitch on August 4th. Call before swinging in to check. I do know that the new software will take anywhere from 1 1/2 to 2 hours to install. Hope this helps! 🙂

I started having that issue today. I am already waiting to get a new Q from Verizon because of another issue. The issue they are replacing it for is that the shift key doesn't work and types "ozfr" when I press it and types "&763" when I try to go to the symbols screen.

I called again today and asked if I can get credit for the Q so I can buy another device (8700 Blackberry). Of course they can't, they are full of it!

I have a premonition the Q is ending up in the dumpster and I will just go back to Blackberry.

Microsoft just can't do anything right. Never, never again will I buy anything with MS software on it.

Peace out.
