Key lock App?

Does anyone know of an app for the Q that can be used to automatically lock the keyboard (after a defined timeout).

Or, if the Q has the ability to do an auto keylock already and I just haven't found it please let me know.

Try:

Start > Settings > More > Security > Enable Phone Lock.

It will prompt you to choice how long you want before the phone automatically locks and then choose a password.

You can also manually lock the keys quickly by pressing the "home" key, then the spacebar.

The one thing that is kind of annoying about the phone when it is locked is that when you receive a call, the screen only lights up for about 2 seconds and then goes dark. You have to press down on the D-pad to get it to light up again to check the caller ID.

Thanks for the link.
So, I downloaded the .cab and there doesn't seem to be an executable file there to install the app? Do I just move the files over to a specific directory on the Q? If so, where should I move them to?

Thanks !!

No, the Moto Q does not have an auto key lock. One feature I dearly miss. You can lock it manually by pressing "Home" then space bar. Also if you lock it, the backlit light goes off almost instanteously, its annoying. Despite your settings. Also, if someone calls you when its on keylock the screen will not light up for you to see who's calling. You have to press the spacebar or any other key to see who's calling. Just don't press "answer" to see who it is because it will connect you to the call right away.
