I am currently a Cingular customer and my contract is ending in October. I have been considering either getting a Blackberry 8700c and staying or leaving Cingular and going to Verizon for a Q. I am not a business user and would only be using it for personal email and browsing the internet on the go and organizing myself (ie calendar, to do lists, etc.). Although I only use it for personal email I was wondering how quickly my email would be updated. I have a hotmail account, could my email be pushed immediately? If so is there an extra cost, and if not, what is the fastest I can get it.

Basically in the long run what I want to know is: Is it worth it? Should i stick with Cingular and wait for a GSM Q an have a BB in the mean time, or sho...

I was in your place 6 weeks ago. Great advice on here helped me make my buying decision. I use mine for business. I have to tell you, I used an E815 before and this has the same outstanding reception..everywhere! Email is a snap, voice recognition dialing is superb.. I have had absolutely no issues with mine. I have to say, I was an AT&T 12 yr customer, cingular bought them and really screwed up their whole operation. I thank my stars for the day I signed up for Verizon- they are customer service oriented. The Q is a fine product and I am very confident you will get great service and a strong performing phone,email,pda,camera,mp3player. I have compared it to a Blackberry and it has many more features that make it more versatile. I'd buy ano...

Thanks for the details. I'm also in the market to buy a new phone. I currently use a blackberry, but looking at changing to the Q. Here's some feedback from another user of the Q. Did you have the same issues as this buyer?

"Q = Quirky. Do not buy this thing.

This phone was handed to me "new in box" as the new standard sales phone at my Co. At first I was jazzed --what a sexy little phone. email, web access, slick package --what more could you want? Then I turned it on...And was greeted with the following double secret features (DSF's):

DSF #1--Time to go to your happy place.

After pressing the Power button, put this baby down and head for the coffee machine 'cause she needs to "boot up" just like ...

It seems like this phone is hit or miss...

Some units work flawlessly, others leave a bad taste in their owners' mouths. With that said, how is Verizon with customer relations and clearing up these issues?

I just bought one 30 min ago, with a 1 yr contract and i switched from T-Mo. Amazon has a great offer for $99 with a 1 yr contract. Although i love the flexibility of GSM, i am willing to go to VZ because their coverage is great here in the NE. I am excited about the Q
