My opinion on the Q
I've had the Q now for 10 days and I am returning it tonight with my 15 day trial time. I didn't even use it much a couple of days this week and it would be dead by 9pm (on at 7am). I'm talking literally about 15-20 minutes talk time and probably 15 times were I hit the side button to check the time. Now I understand that I should get the extended battery, but that defeats the purpose of the sleekness of the phone.
Now aside from its very poor battery life, I don't feel this is a very functional PHONE. It has a great browser and tons of features. Its great to have a phone from Verizon that is so customizable. I just want to use a phone to check my Gmail, text message, and make calls so this phone was over the top for me because the ...

Battery definately sucks! I am a heavier user than you with corp email set-up on my Q and I also use the web on the device, so i hate the fact that the battery starts to die on my way home. I'll go for the extended battery ($20) and the phone will still be sleaker than the BB and Treo.
I think that the phone is very functional and easy to use. The phone quality is definately better than expected and even better that my previous v600. Other than battery life, this phone is great and once you get the data plan and start playing with this phone, it becomes an addiction

I have had my Q since day one... I bought the extra battery... and the car charger... I also bought the h700 blue tooth headset (on line)... nice thing about the h700 is the charger works with the phone too... so, I leave that one at work in case I need a little boost during the day... the extra batt. is in my breif case in case I get stuck and need a back up... and in the car I can keep the head set charged and plug in the phone once in a while if needed... THE Q IS GREAT... don't let battery life be your desiding factor, just be prepaired... this device is going to change the way you work and play 😎
