I had a problem with my Q, & got another one...Now I cannot stop the programs from automatically running, such as the email, and text features...I removed my yahoo email because it kept poping up. now, either the text messaging is in the list of running programs or the outlook is running...

ITS RUNNING MY BATTERY DOWN!!!

how do I stop them???

i noticed programs in memory too, they are loaded into your ram, but if your not actively using them they are simply sitting there, dont worry about it. Active browsing and active use of the phone will drain the battery of course, but letting a few programs stay in memory is fine.
Email syncs and pic or text messaging could drain you a little too.
Make sure you get the extended battery, I got mine today and I am a happy camper.
Verizon should be sued for selling that phone with that standard battery.
All these new phones eat batteries like crazy.

My old LG VX6000 used to last at least 4 days or more before needing a charge. Ahhh the good old days. I miss those dots and the scrolling blue oled screen on the front.

I found out verizon will fix it if you call the data support line...you just have to make sure you sync your Q before you do it...im about to call them myself.
