Turning off PUSH/Battery life?

stratt28

If I turn off PUSH on the Q, will it increase my battery life substantially? Also, if I do this, it will still wirelessly bring my email to my Q, just only when I manually tell it to, correct?

Thanks a bunch,

I fooled around and activated wireless sync. How do i go about turning it off and removing it from my home screen. Thanks

Battery life would most likely increase. to remove wireless sync you can either goto the settings menu and goto remove programs and take out sync client, or back up your stuff and do a master reset. or you can do both.

You change the scheduling for it, you dont actually turn it off.

Here is what you do
press START --> Activesync --> Menu --> Schedule
Sync During -
PEAK TIMES - Manual
Off-Peak Times - Manual

This will make it so you dont get email unless you manually start ActiveSync and run it.

To remove that wireless client that changes yor desktop, Plug your Q into the PC you have the Activesync client also installed on, and In
ActiveSync (on your PC not the Q)
Go to TOOLS --> Add/Remove Programs -->
Select the program you wish to remove, and click on Remove at the bottom of that window.
After "rebooting" the phone, your phones background image should be back to the default.

Good luck.
