Motorola Q

I just set up my Q to sync with Outlook and didn't see an option to sync Notes. Has anyone found out how to do this?

Ok so ive been reading everyone else's possible solutions for syncing the motorola q and macs.......now whats confusing me is that I still have not found a way to open the install.exe and get it to run. i dont have bluetooth so I do not have the option of syncing it that way. Can someone please help me figure out how to sync???????? Also, so i have to install the software before I can create word documents on the q???? I cant seen to find office on my phone.

I just took my Q back to the store to reactivate my trusty RAZR, Here is why:

1. The buttons were too small to get any work done. At 1/8" there was no room to even allow letter dialing (800-FLOWERS) needed a cheat sheet or another handset nearby.
2. Verizon did not implement VZ Navigator, which is a great program for many uses, including renting a car, and many other uses when travelling. The GPS applications all need an external device.
3. The Bluetooth was too unreliable, switching between handset and car kit randomly without reason.
4. The keypad was so tiny, it did not allow the user to work fast, like the Treo.
5. Verizon did not allow BroadbandAccess Connect for tethering with a laptop. This disallowed my use of laptop with th...

I have been looking at the Q and wondering if I should go for it or not, and was hoping some of you could help me. I used to use the Treo 650, but got tired of carrying around a brick in my pocket. I went back to a cell, Razr, with a separate PDA. While I like the fact that I no longer have that brick in my pocket, I miss having everything on one device. The only thing I use my PDA for is Contacts, Task List (repeating tasks as well) and appointments. Will the Q meet my needs? Any help would be appreciated.

Anyone know if Sirius Sat. radio can be streamed to the Q?

I'm on my 3rd day with the q so far and loving it except for one thing- where is word and excel? i was advised that they are on the q but as view only, no editing but I dont see there programs at all on my phone! do i have to buy them somewhere? and does anyone know of any 3rd party apps available now or soon that can edit? thanks

Hey guys Im having a problem getting the reg editor to work on my Q. I found the free download and the app is on my laptop but when the active sync add/remove programs screen comes up the phm reg editor is not there to sync to my device. any ideas? I really have some tweeks I want to do to my phone but cant seem to get the phm editor to the phone. any help would be great.

Hi i just wanted to say that this is by FAR the best site out there for cell phones. Anyways im new to this site and new to smartphones and pdas in general. I just purched a Q and have some question for some of the more experienced users out there. First off, im looking for some good apps. Looking for a good homescreen editor or just something that allows me to change color and text color. (ex. if i have my color scheme set to say blue, the text color is blue and i want to change it to white.) Also im in need of a good weather program. Something with maps, radars, sats, etc. Any good sites out there for apps for the Q? Also do you guys DL these programs to your comp first and then put them on the Q or can u just go on the web on your Q and D...

Got my Slingbox over the weekend - it's UNBELIEVABLY COOL!!

As if the Q weren't cool enough (sure it has its quirks and some pretty bad menu design - but it's still a cool phone that has pretty much every feature you could imagine) - the Slingbox functionality is outta control.
Everytime somebody asks me the score of a world-cup game - I just pull out my Q and turn on the World Cup game on my home cable box. You should see the look on people's faces.

The slingbox is relatively cheap (I got mine for $175 - shipping and tax included - on buy.com)
It sets up in a flash (just plug your cable box into the slingbox, and then plug it into your router (they offer a wireless bridge if you can't easily locate the box between both connections)...

When I sync a video to my Q wmp shows converting but it stays at 0%. It worked fine until yesterday. What am I doing wrong?

I am a med student in need of a pda phone. I have a 650 and I know I can carry my pharm programs on this platform. They work on most treo and pocket pcs. I wanted to downsize to the Q if it has the same support. Any ideas? Thank you.

I just got my 2GB mini-SD in the mail and wanted to transfer a few shows from my computer to the Q. How do I do this? I have the Q hooked up via USB to my desktop. It won't let me drag and drop. Any pointers?

Has anyone been able to try the spectec mini SD card in their Q to determine whether id works or not?

The phone is $299 @ verizonwireless.com - a $100 "on-line discount" reduces it to %199.

When I login to my account and choose to upgrade my phone it applies my "New every 2" $100 discount - but removed the on-line discount of $100, thus keeping the price at $199.

Is this correct? Other phones apply both the on-line discount and the NE2 discount.
