delay
If i'm having a small delay with the phone and the whole system is just a little slow is that normal for this phone, or did I just get a bad one and need to exchange it?
Thanks for any help!

Just picked up the Q at my local verizon store! not bad!
Just got home with the phone and have barely gone through it but here's what i think so far!
Pro's:
reception is great! (almost as good as my e815 which was amazing)
speakerphone is crystal clear!
the side scroll/button is easy to use and very convienent
Voice command dialing works very well
con's:
When youre on a call without using headset or speaker the screen is against your ear
the buttons and menu have a slight delay, although not terrible or nearly as bad as the razr
Data transfer?
Since the Q does not have Get it Now or and backup assistant. Has anyone had anyluck importing data into the Q. I have too many numbers for a manual transfer. I am also on a mac and am thinking about synching or using the menmory card. Any ideas???

Programming the Q
Has anyone else had trouble creating profiles and editing rings on the Q. I know these functions are on the bottom of the importance ladder, but I like knowing who's calling without looking at the phone. I figured how to do, but I'm getting no sound while trying. Just wondering.

shipping issue
I know the Q is in high demand right now, but has anyone else who tried to purchase the phone today received confirmation that their phone shipped. I ordered mine nice and early today hoping that it would be shipped out today(I paid extra to have expedited shipping). I called back to check on the order, and they told me that my order had not processed yet because of the high demand for the phone. Its not a huge deal, but I would have waited until Monday if I thought there was a chance the phone wouldn't get to me before that.

Pricing for Q
My sales rep says I can buy the Q for $299.99 and get a $100 credit on my new every 2 OR I can buy it for the business price of $294.99 with a $100 credit for getting a voice/data plan, but that I cannot combine the 2. Does anyone know if this is correct -- must I forfeit either my new every 2 or the voice/data discount?

I want the Q bad, but how is the phone reception or call signal so far?
Have a Treo now and the phone reception itself sucks.
Any comments on the Q when you arn't standing beside a tower?

ANYONE KNOW WHERE YOU CAN GET THE Q IN SOCAL?
I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE KNOW OF A STORE THAT HAD THE Q IN STOCK? I HAVE CALLED NUMEROUS STORES AND NO ONE HAS THEM. SEEMS LIKE THEIR OUT ON THE EAST COAST ALREADY.

I just confirmed. $199 for new customers, $299 for existing. WHAT BS!
I called Verizon Customer service to ask why I paid $299 and not $199. they told me cause I was an existing customer. She verified to me several times that the $199 price is only for new customers. Thats total BULLSHT! I am livid at VZW now. I have been a customer since 1998 when it was Bell Atlantic. So the dedicated paying loyal customers that tell all their friends to get VZW cause of the great cell service have to pay more!
As soon as I get my order, I will use it for the 15 days then return it. Give em back an abused and used phone. I will wait til the B2B site offers it to me for less or I will not get it again at all and wait for Sprint. I have pretty much had it with VZW.
Good riddence! They are the communist carrier.

Just purchased the Q at my local VZW store!!!!
I don't know where to start . . . . I tried to order the Q online today and it wasn't giving me my NE2 discount. I called customer service hoping that I could get the discount with them and order the Q over the phone. No luck. They said it wasn't showing that I had the NE2 option. My last effort was to go to my local VZW store and see what the deal was.
I went to the store and told the customer service agent what was going on. She said "if I can get it straightened out do you want to just buy it here?" I told her thanks, but I knew they weren't selling them until Tuesday. She said, "honey, we have a truck load of them just sitting in the back, somebody has to buy them eventually." Not only did she straighten the NE2 out, but I lef...

Pricing on V710 exchange site vs regular site
Well, like most of you I am a part of the V710 exchange program. I was patiently waiting for the Motorola Q to appear on the V710 exchange website, but when it didn't appear by this morning, I went ahead and ordered it through Verizon customer service (so I could return my V710 in time to qualify for the exchange). I recently checked the V710 exchange website and the Q is now posted with the following pricing options:
Exchange Site:
No agreement: $419.99
1yr agreement: $249.99
2yr agreement: $199.99
The pricing options I was given by customer service are as follows:
No agreement: $419.99
1yr agreement: $349.99
2yr agreement: $299.99
Basically, it looks like I paid $100 more by ordering it over the phone, and if I would hav...

Existing Customer Upgrades...
Am I a complete dolt or are there any other existing Verizon customers out there who still don't have the option to purchase the Motorola Q through the "Upgrade Phone" option in "My Account"?
I can purchase the phone with a new account, but not through my existing account. Leaving town early tomorrow morning and was hoping to return home to find this on my doorstep!

Acessories / Skins
Anyone know of a place to buy accessories? I am very interested in a skin also. The cases are real bulky looking.
e-mail issues
I currently use a Blackberry 7250, and I am trying to decide whether I want to switch to the Motorola Q. My concerns are with the handling of the e-mail.
The e-mail on my Blackberry works well. I set up my regular internet service provider to forward a duplicate copy of every incoming e-mail from my regular POP account to my Blackberry e-mail address (@vzw.blackberry.net). There was another option on the Blackberry site to have it probe the POP server itself. But since it only did this every 15 minutes or so, it was terribly slow. (And for outcoming e-mails, the Blackberry service knows to phony in my regular e-mail address so no one will know the difference.) The Blackberry site also has an option to have the phone vibrate different...
