I have read rumours about a new Samsung phone that can make T-Mobile calls over WiFi.. Anyone know if this phone can do it too?
...
you probably heard about T-Mobiles plans for a VOIP ( Voice Over I.P. ) service they have in the works.
Basically any phone with Wi-Fi in it can connect to a local Wi-Fi router.
that means unlimited minutes any time of the day and perfect signal as long as you are at home. no more problems with not getting signal indoors.

Yeah. This is what's called UMA. The SDA (right now) does not support UMA, but very likely because T-Mo hasn't started their UMA service. What is likely to happen is an OTA update to the phones. This phone, the Samsung T709 and the MDA are all supposedly going to be compatible with the service once it is launched. There are going to be more phones, very likely, that support UMA that T-Mo launches this year. Ahh, Sue Nokes videos are boring.
