Sony Ericsson W810

So, I love outlook, and I love my w810, but I cannot get them to talk.

I have downloaded the latest version of the SE PC Suite and I have yet to be able to connect my phone to my computer via USB, it is extremely frustrating.

All I want to do is get my Outlook Contacts and Calendar to talk to my phone and keep each other posted on what is going on.

IF you have any ideas on how to help my sync with my PC, and then how to get my phone contacts (phone numbers, emails) to sync with my Outlook contacts that would be awesome!!

I keep getting the message "Text message memory over 95% full." Anyone know how to stop getting this message? Can you increase the amount of text messages the phone memory can hold? I don't mind deleting them, but I want to save them first to a file(s). Any way to save the text messages onto a computer? Thanks!

Does the 8 gig pro duo memory stick work in this phone?
The guy in the AT&T store thinks only up to 4 gig. Anybody know for sure?

I'm confused. I thought the W810I isn't stereo bluetooth compatible yet on AT&T's website, they list Motorola S9 Bluetooth® Headphones this wireless headphones as accessories you can buy for the phone. So while docking my boat I slipped and ended up in the water. My SE w810 was the only thing in my pocket at the time. I pulled it out of the water as fast as possible and the display looked OK still. By the time the boat was on the trailer it was dead.

Now I know that water damage pretty much means the end of life for a cellphone but I removed the battery, SIM, and memory card and let it air out for a few days.

Day by day it seems to be working more and more. At first I just got a white screen and couldn't do anything. Then just the SE splash screen. Then the normal back ground came up but it just showed the lock symbol.

Right now, I can get it to power on, it finds the network, all the features seem to work again, but I cannot hea...

im a multi-language kinda guy and i love to listen to many chinese songs and etc 😁

but the thing is.. the song/folder name always show up as coded digits so it is hard to know which song is which (since i have many songs already..) 👀

is there a way to make this phone to recognize chinese?

Hello all, I've been adding new stuff my my new toy (I think it's awesome by the way) but I'm having a curious issue. After moving my music, themes and ringtones from my computer (a mac) to the memory stick (plugged into a card reader) and then back to the phone, I notice when scrolling through the files on the phone that there are duplicate files of everything I've moved over. The name of the duplicate files usually start with an underscore.

Anybody ever encounter this and if so how did you fix it. Thanks for any help.

Hey, i've read a lot of reviews and customer reviews of the W810 and everyone seems to agree that its a great phone with some cool features. I really like this phone but i noticed the W660i that SonyEricsson is launching soon and it looks like an equally good and more stylish phone. Do you think i should wait for the w660i to come out, or just go ahead and get the w810 (more features?) Also, does anyone know if the w660i will be coming to Cingular? Thanks a lot.

Hi everyone. I'm thinking about buying either this phone or the Samsung 707 Sync. I know the Sync has stereo blouetooth for listening to music wirelessly which is almost essentaial for me cause i tak e my phone to the gym w/ me all the time. Does the 810 have Stereo Bluetooth on it? Is it able to have Cingular/AT&T's Televav GPS locater service on it? Does the Sync have tht service on it? the only other thinga bout the 810 that is werid is the memeory card because now my phone takes a micro sd card and this would be a sony duo pro memory card so i'd have to convert all of my pictures vides and music over. Any help would be appreciated. THanks.

I'd like to create backgrounds and create caller IDs from pictures I have on my computer. What do I need to do to upload pictures in this way?

Has anyone else had any problems with their camera? Often when I try to take a picture my camera will focus but not snap the picture no matter how hard I push the button down. I even sent mine in to Sony to have the latest firmware put on my phone but it doesn't seem to help.

I purchased the w810 a couple weeks ago, and overall it was a great little phone. Unfortunately, what killed my love for the phone was the call quality. Reception always seemed good, although when on an active call, the call would fade in and out. I don't feel this is a cingular issue, as this happened all over orange county, ca and did have the issue with the KRZR or N75. I also noticed that CNET.com had said the same thing about their test phone:

I just got the phone and it seems cool but how can i keep the screen saver on longer? I need the time the phone goes to a screen saver to be longer and the time it stays on a screen saver to be longer, how do i change that? Thanks.

Emailing pics was easy to do when I had a phone that had a pop3 account. Since Cingular disabled pop3 for this phone I have no idea how to e-mail pics to this phone. I've tried using [email protected]. I get the message but it says that the attachment was removed becasue it was unsupported. When I send through Gmail app feature I can open the pic but can't figure out how to save it. When I open Gmail through the browser I can save the pic but it's very distorted and there's no color.

My w810 goes to voice mail too quickly!

I had a Nokia 6632 for two years. Really like the phone. But it got old and I had great reception everywhere EXCEPT my house. That never was a good thing. So had to get something new.

I did research and got the w810 and really like the phone. But it seems to ring only 20 seconds before going to voicemail instead of the normal 30 that my Nokia did. The caller still hears about 5 rings. But they hear it ringing on their end before my ringtone actually starts up.

I am using the same ringtone as on the Nokia (I bluetoothed it over). It's a 29sec mp3. But it only gets about 2/3 of the way through. Is this common w/ w810? Or is there something I need to try and change?

I recently took an interest in using the voice recorder to record telephone conversations. For those who have trouble remembering details of conversation, this feature is a godsend. What I haven't figured out yet is whether its possible to not have to record a new sound or note to get to the audio file I want to play back. Am I doing something wrong or is there a way to not have to do a recording first?
