Nokia 6126 / 6131 / 6133
Next best Thing?
Although still hoping that this will *magically* turn up via Cingular sometime soon, wanted to get a jump on other possible phones to consider.
I went back to look at the 6102i but not really thrilled because of the earpiece/volume issue. If I jump brands my next thought was Motorola but even after reading a few threads in that forum I can't get a sense of the brand.
Suggestions for other phones?

the next best thing is to get a 6133 of course. i am really considering doing this. i am still a VZW customer and this phone was going to make me sway back to Cingular (originally I had ATT).

Is the 6133 the CDMA version of this phone? If so, any ETA on when it will be available via Verizon?

sorry - i did mean 6131...but regardless it is the GSM phone--i plan on using it on cingular. as for verizon i am unaware if there is any version available for it in the works. it would be rather neat if it does, as i may consider staying, but the way verizon forces it's gui on all of their phones i am hesitant of staying.

Take a look at the RAZR V3i or the new KRZR K1. Both good phones with very similar feature to the 6126. Do listen to all the Moto haters out there. For every Moto hater there is a Nokia hater. They both make great phones so get the one you like and will meet your needs. Stay away from the 6102i. It's am OK phone, but it is limited in features and use.

true...i was a nokia lover, but i was talked into hating nokia since motorola is all feature packed and not babyish as nokia. my last several phones have been moto but i am seriously considering going back to nokia--this phone wasnt the one that made me want to go back, but i been thinking about it for a while...i think nokias are just a lot better. it is almost like mac vs PC.

The Razr and new Razr's are still going to suck. It's not the actual phone persay, but it is the OS that the phone runs on. It is slow, you can't have multiple numbers per name, and the phone always breaks.
Stick with Nokia. They are the most reliable phones you can buy.

razr's os does suck. way too slow--i cant wait to get the 6126/6131 so i can smash my razr into a wall!

A) The OS is not slow. B) You can store more than one contact per name. C) The KRZR has an up graded OS. D) You clearly don’t know what you are talking about.

clearly i do because i own a razr and i am about to smash it into a wall because i just bought a 6131 on ebay. why am i switching to this phone? i seen it in action already, i think it's a great phone. as for the razr, it is garbage. it crashes constantly. get-it-now games got corrupted, to send a text message, to get to the screen takes way too long. and verizon sucks! they cripple bluetooth, dont allow multimedia transferring by default - the razr is just a garbage phone meant to look pretty. nothing special inside. so...
