Honestly... Who cares???
I just bought the phone, and it hasn't come yet... but I gotta say, you guys act like this is a totally new phone. It improves just a few things, and the reason why I got mine was because I do one year contracts and my 8100 screen is cracked and its FAT! Honestly.... I am buying the new one just because its skinnier. Are you guys really buying this phone just so you can listen to music wirelessly? Thats lame, cause it takes forever to upload the music, it doesn't have iTunes, the battery life SUCKS with the mp3 player on. Gosh, get an iPod you guys, and if you hate the size, get a nano.
Lemme just say you guys need to go to Japan. Then you'll finally be satisfied with your cell phone.

Actually, I have had no complaints with my vx8100's mp3 player and wma player........they both seem excellent to me. I even show it off to others with cingular and t-mobile. I have like 300 songs, and I prefer to be able to use Vcast music if I choose, or just use my own free ones. It's an excellent product to me. Maybe that's the reason the vx8100 sold so extremely well.

The better question is why do you care what ppl want? Or like? Do you think you are teaching us all something new talking about what phones are available in Japan? Duh, and then you just ramble on making your own silly assumptions that ppl want this phone for wireless music and how that is lame, and to get an iPod. And after insulting the ppl who are interesting in this phone, you expect us to care about the reason you purchased it. Go fly a kite!

I'm not insulting people who are interested in this phone, I'm saying that I dont understand why people are SO interested in this specific phone when the 8100 is already out and for all purposes, the same thing. After reading the phonescoop boards for a while, it just seems like people who are hardcore into cell phones can never be satisfied.
Oh and Gunny, I'm not making assumptions, I know why people want this phone because they post about it all the time! I never said you'd care about the reasons why I bought this phone either, I just mentioned it because it seems that people are already dissatisfied with the reviews (or review) made and since I currently own a 8100 I think everyone besides you would probably be interested to hear...

This a forum, it's supposed to be fun and informational. Not a downer like you right , it's just the same thing only skinnier ?
Dude, Seriously, it's a new phone and us phone freaks like Gunny and myself, we just enjoy new stuff. And the more new stuff we get to play with the better it is for us 🙂
Don't play down this phone or any unless oyu have issues with it..
I am sure it will have issues with the Bluetooth and some other things us techno idiots all thing are problems, buts lots of people will like it and buy it and have fun with it.
So when you get it just tell us about it , okay ?

Ok so maybe I should have rephrased it, Honestly... Is it that different? And this is because I think LG has a responsibility to make a better product. Yeah I think its cool this phone is coming out, I wouldn't have ordered it if I didn't. I wasn't trying to be a downer, but speak my mind, and I thought that the forum was also for that.

I agree to a certain extent with what you are saying. However, this phone actually seems to be one of the most feature-packed, non-pda phones for any company on the market. The only thing "features" that they could have improved on is the camera, and speakerphone with phone closed, and intenna. As far as "full-bluetooth with obex goes...Verizon says no for all of their phones. I actually work for "another popular cell phone company", and I use all of their latest gadgets everyday, and I prefer the vx8100 over anything that they offer, and the Vx8300 just improves upon what the vx8100 did so well.

Well I can't wait till it comes out so I can put my 4 month old V3C RAZR up for sale. Never have I disliked a phone more and am so sorry I gave up my LG VX 7000 for it.
