Transferring MP3 files to the 8300

Is it possible to transfer an MP3 file to the 8300 from a PC via bluetooth? I tried it tonight, and could get my PC to "recognize" the phone, but couldn't figure out how to send the mp3 to the phone (I have an IBM laptop with bluetooth using Windows Media Player 10).

Can anyone advise??
Thx

mp3 files will need to be transfered to the card not the phone, so i don't think the restrictions will allow you to transfer mp3 that way unless you use bitpim. the essentials cable is needed to transfer vcast music from windows media 10( mainly the cable) because of license issues. Otherwise just put the non licensed music onto memory card with a card reader.

Actually, MP3 ringtones have to be transferred to the phone only, and mp3 full songs can be transferred to the phone or to the card. 😎

Doing it through bluetooth is possible, but not supported by the phone. If you have a bluetooth usb adapter, it is possible, however, it will definitely not be in the manual. I'm not sure how that would be done.

yes, but limited memory so you will want them on the card, bluetooth will not be in manual, people have transfered music through bluetooth using a program called bitpim on the 8100, but some of the restrictions have been lifted on this model and most used that to put ringtones on not full songs because it is kinda of slow if you are uploading a bunch of music. My suggestion is to buy a card and stick them on there, that is the easiest route and the transfer speed will be much better, especially if you are wanting to put a good amount of music on there. You can try the bitpim approach through bluetooth but the number of songs you will be able to get on the internal memory will be small.

he didn't ask for ringtones he asked for mp3's. The other little question in there was bluetooth. As far as putting full mp3 on phone, yes you can do that but your not going to fit many on there.
