Unfortunately the early reports of RF appear to be true. At least as compared to the 8100. Note that my comments are based upon being in a PCS area (old PrimeCo) and should be considered in that light. I suspect anyone in a cellular (800mhZ) VZW area would find the performance just fine.

In this area RF is marginal indoors despite being in a heavily populated area and close to a major interstate. Compared back to back with my 8100 the 8300 pulls a -02 to -03 db worse signal. This is in both PCS and Cell mode. Now to be fair, calls can be made and seemed clear enough indoors. However I would be concerned about missing and dropped calls with a marginal -104ish signal.

The point is not what area you are in. The phones are portable and travel all around the country with the owner. This is the problem I had with LG. It would work in some areas and not in others. The RF is just too weak, and that silly stub antenna does not help much.
