Signal Strength & Voice Quality LG 8100 - LG 8300
if someone had the LG 8100 and now has the LG 8300, can you tell me the difference between the two of them in signal strength and voice quality.
thanks

Unfortunately the early reports of RF appear to be true. At least as compared to the 8100. Note that my comments are based upon being in a PCS area (old PrimeCo) and should be considered in that light. I suspect anyone in a cellular (800mhZ) VZW area would find the performance just fine.
In this area RF is marginal indoors despite being in a heavily populated area and close to a major interstate. Compared back to back with my 8100 the 8300 pulls a -02 to -03 db worse signal. This is in both PCS and Cell mode. Now to be fair, calls can be made and seemed clear enough indoors. However I would be concerned about missing and dropped calls with a marginal -104ish signal.
I also need to get text msgs for work occassionaly so I can't...

The point is not what area you are in. The phones are portable and travel all around the country with the owner. This is the problem I had with LG. It would work in some areas and not in others. The RF is just too weak, and that silly stub antenna does not help much.
