mobile web 2.0 question/concern

Hello all,

I have a question about the mobile web / browser on the newer verizon phone, such as the LOG 8300. I am interested in upgrading my older LG phone to possilby the new 8300 but I have an issue with the way the the mobile web now works. I hope I can explain this correctly -

I currently use the mobile web browser (an older version, not sure which one) on my older LG 6600 phone a considerable amount of time, but mainly for two purposes - check my pop email and check sport scores. Since minutes count, I try to best as fast and efficient as possible. With the older version, it was very easy to do this because when you exit or disconnect from the web, it remembers the page you were last at. So to check my email, I go to the screen with the Check Mail (yahoo) menu option and select that option. It checks and then I disconnect. Next time I need to check my email, I just connect and I'm already on the right screen. So basically I can check my email in less than 10 seconds. I do the same with sport scores, just hit Refresh to get the updated scores. It works perfectly and is very efficient.

ANYWAY, with the new mobile web, it does not
seem to save where you were the last time when you disconnected. It automatically goes back to the main screen. So for me to check the
score of the Orioles game, I have to select Sports, and then ESPN, and then Baseball, and then scores, and then find my team. I then see the score and disconnect. 5 minutes later when I want to check again and I have to go through the same process. Has anyone else seen this
difference and been annoyed? Also, has anyone seen a way for it to work like the old way where it does not reset to the beginning? I know about bookmarks, but that still is not nearly as easy and as efficient as the old way.... I was already to buy the new 8300 phone, but I don't think I want to anymore if
this case is true. I know the phone is so much better, but that is a major issue for me. If anyone knows anything about this, I'd love to hear from you... Thanks for listening to me ramble!

yeah i don't know of any way to make it go back to the previous page, but if it's saved in your favorites then it shouldn't take that long to access it would it? do you not have a lot of mins on your plan? this phone is so much more than that though and really shouldn't be an issue 🙂

I have the 450 minute plan but you can use them up pretty quickly. If I'm somewhere where I can't listen or watch my baseball game, I'll check the updated score every few minutes by simply connecting and hit "New" - 5 seconds later I have the score and have disconnected already. That way was just so convienent compared to having to navigate through everything to get the score I want. I couldn't bookmark the game because it changes everyday. I certainly could bookmark ESPN/Baseball/Scores, but its still more step and with new technology you'd expect the process to improve, not slow down! I do realized the phone is so much better, but its still bothersome since this is the main thing I use it for (besides talking on it!)
