Ringtone poor sound quality-possible solution!!!!!!

I experimented sending .mid and .wav ringtones and the .wav does not appear to lose any sound quality when e-mailed. Anybody else tried it?

Also, once you moved mp3 ringtones to the memory card and into the phone in the "my sounds" folder, you can e-mail it to yourself, from the phone, then save as a ringtone. Anybody tried this too?

Actually, I downloaded the mp3 cutter on cnet that someone else suggested on here and it worked!! You can save as mp3 or wav and then I sent it from the funformobile.com site to my phone. IT SOUNDS GREAT!! Only thing is it comes in as a pix message and that's a $.25 charge per msg ☹️ .
