how do you turn on mp3 player i do not see an option? I also do not see where i can record my own ringtone...where is the " my sounds option" ? thx

Press Ok when your on the home screen, then press the number 0 seven times. That will take you to a hidden menu. On the bottom of the menu is the music option. Once your in, enable the mp3 option.
Once you do that, re-format your memory card. Once done, the memory card should have a mp3 folder where you could cut and paste mp3s into.

Don't know. The 8300 is my wife's phone, and I don't want to mess it up. I have the e815.

If you inserted the card in the phone and turned it on, the phone formatted it on its own.
