I don't think the sony hbh-ds970 are available yet. At least not at a reasonable price. The only headphones that have worked, that i've tried, thus far for the 8300 are the HT820's.

hat's what I meant by not at a reasonable price. They're definitely not available on eBay yet. Their limited availability may be a hint as to what to expect when you try them with the 8300. They'e definitely not available at BestBuy, CompUSA, Circuit City or Radio Shack. All I can say, if you choose to go that route is buy from some place with a decent return policy so you can retun them for a refund if they don't work as you expect with the 8300. If they choose not to refund your money and you're stuck with the item you can be one of the first to put it on eBay if you don't want to keep it. Like I said before i'm not sure about all headphones, even though they should work there is no guarantee they will work.

You're right, those were the first set I was going to try but seeing that the price was kinda high and they're not readily available I passed on them. I've seen a few posts of people using the Plantronics Pulsar 590A and those don't seem to be working for people. They say even with them paired the sound still comes form the phones speakers and not the headphones.
