Ringtone Volume

I've had my 8300 for a couple weeks now and I love it. My one main problem is that the ringtones I've put on there don't seem to get loud enough for my liking. I've tried amplifying them through bitpim and audacity, but then the quality goes down. I've already got the master volume on max. Is there another way make the ringtones louder? Is anybody else having this problem? I wonder if perhaps my speakers are bad.

try the speaker phone. If thats too low as well you may just have a defective phone. If not, well I don't know. I have the 8100 and I use bitpim. My ringtones can be too loud sometimes. They scare the S^*t out of me when I'm not expecting a call.

I've had some success amplifying them in Audacity.
However, I begin with AIFF and then save to MP3. Don't know if that makes a difference, but when I raise the volume level to 6 or even 7, export them to MP3 and send them to my phone, they sound clear and louder.

Until I did that, yes, I would say the ringtones weren't quite loud enough. The junky ones which come with the phone were, but who cares?

Hope this helps...
