Another way to Get ringtones
Well i was messing with my 8300 and i was trying to get ringtones on it and i was reading through and saw everyone talking about e-mailing songs. If i am correct that cost 25 cent to send e-mails to your phone. So i was thinking i just got rid of my E815 and gave it to my mom. Not too long before i tried to txt the songs i had off of that phone to my 8300 which worked flawlessly.

I sure hope you're wrong about sending ringtones.
As far as I know, there is no charge.
...
I think it comes in as a Pix/Flix message and yes each one costs 25 cents if you have no monthly messaging plan.
...
Yikes!!
I've been playing around with them, not knowing. I've just upgraded from a VX4400, so this phone is ALL new to me.
You're certain about the charge?
Nuts.
...
It is most definately charged as a pix message because that's how it is sent.
...
I thought it was 10 cents? It's just a text message with an (mp3) attachment, right?
...
no when you attach any sound to a message its automatically send as pix msg, however if you have the $10/month unlimited you get an extra 500 messages that includes txt and pix/flix msgs to use ... since its out of the network to send an email to your phone it will deduct from those messages ...
...
how do you send a ringtone as a text or pic message?? my ringtones do not show up as a option when sending a text or pic?
...
so if i have the 5$ a month text and pix all that 250 messages it doesn't charge me more on my bill...just comes off of my 250 monthly messages
