LG VX-8300 speakerphone buzzes

I have a brand new LG VX-8300 and the speakerphone buzzes. Does anyone else have this problem?

What are the odds of getting a phone which doesn't have this problem if I exchange it for another VX-8300?

I ordered it online. Is there anyway I can exchange it at a local Verizon store, or do I have to mail it back?

Thanks.

Have you tried turning the volume down? I am very pleased with the 8300's speaker phone, but you need to turn the volume to a mid- to lower setting.

Yes, even if you ordered it online you can return it at your local VZW store; at least I know you can if it's a corporate store.

Good luck.

Hi, I just got this phone today I also have the issue with the speakerphone. When you turn it up above say level 3 volume there is a noise..more like a vibration than a buzzing. I've noticed quite a few posts on this in Howards Forums. Some have said that it's the metal ring around the OK button that is not quite stable enough and causing the vibration. I noticed if you press down on the ring it stops. Anyone else having this issue with the speakerphone?

It happens with both mine and my wife's if the volume is higher than medium. It is slight at med high and irratating on high. I read another thread that this is common. The funny thing is that it does not do this with ringtones or mp3 music.
