audio help?
ive got mp3s on the phone but the front buttons dont work and i enabled the mp3 player.
plus how do you put your own ringtones on the phone bitpim? or can you create your own on the phone? any help thanks 😁

Unfortunately, the LG VX-8300 does not allow for VOICE RECORDED RINGTONES (can you believe it?); this, in addition to the fact that you cannot use the speakerphone with the clamshell shut, makes this phone a real loser.

If you want to use the outside button to play your mp3s you need to set the play button as the shortcut to my mp3s. menu, tools, shortcut, play key, my mp3s. and you got music!

There are a number of ways to put ringtones on your phone, including voice recorded ones (with a jab to Mr. Mellow).
With the phone open, push in the button on the left side for voice commands and hold it for a few seconds. You will see "Press OK to start recording." Say or do what you want and press OK again. It will be saved and you can play with it immediately, or you may find it later under My Sounds (GET IT NOW, Tunes & Tones).
Send it to your phone and save it as a ringtone and you've got it.
And here's a bunch of stuff I've cobbled together to help with...
