My wife and I both use the Plantronics Voyager 510 with our 8300s and it works fine. Do a search. Others have recommended other headphones.

Hey Need more toys!
Have you tried that Voyager 510 headset riding a bicycle with a helmet and sunglasses on?
I wanted to know how it works in mild wind, and does it have enough volume to hear a soft spoken person (on the phone)with cars going by?
Thanks,Jeff

I don't ride on the road anymore (since I got hit by a car) and I haven't tried wearing the headset while mountain biking. My wife and I have worn then while out on a windy day and there is some wind noise, but not bad. It would probably be worse while on a bike at 20, 30, 40 mph (OK, big downhill). They are very loud with the volume turned up, but then there is some feedback. I can't stand the loudness with the volume up all the way. We wear them while shoping to communicate and they are loud enough to hear above the WalMart speaker paging system.

Oh, about the glasses. My wife and I both wear glasses and the headset fits fine. I just tried it with my glasses and bike helmet on. The part of the strap that goes in front of the ear fits right behind the boom hinge and holds it securely in the ear. It feels comfortable for me. I think the strap would interfere with a design like the Plantronics Explorer 320.

I appreciate the info!
I do a lot of cycling, and usually at 15mph on the road, but car noise is a problem, so the volume is an issue.
Sounds like this is one of the first GOOD BT headsets for outdoors folks.
I'm looking at the v3m and 8300, but the BT problems with the 8300 have me shying away. Using the v325 (type too small to read the text outside) and the Sam 650 (good type size and good Auto Volume control) but looking for real mobile BT.
Thanks for your help!
