MP3 playlist for VX8300?

Can anyone tell me if a playlist can be created for mp3 files stored on the micro sd card? If so, how? Thanks.

I can tell you from experience that the phone does NOT recognize sub-folders within the MP3 folder on the memory card. So, I tend to doubt playlists are possible. Let's hope for some updates in future software versions.

Does that mean, then, that you can only fill up your microSD card and play them in the order you put them in, and/or shuffle them?

Are those the only two options?

I like the player, but would like to categorize some songs...

No playlists nor sub-folders [like PrestigeV already mentioned] on the MP3's but... you can make playlists on the WMA's. Go to: GET IT NOW, & then: GET TUNES & TONES[1], then: MANAGE MUSIC[7], then PLAYLISTS[5], then: CREATE[upper right soft key] Simply name your playlist by typing in a name for it(press OK), then: use the ARROW UP to where SEARCH becomes highlighted, (press OK), ARROR RIGHT & DOWN to SONGS (or to another area if you prefer) and scroll down to the song you want to add to your playlist and hit OK and then OPTIONS[soft key], then ADD TO PLAYLIST[2], then for another song... ARROW UP to SEARCH and repeat from there. Sounds tough, but do it once and it becomes easy. [you can always back out one screen by hitting clear if you ...

Great information, relaymanls.

However, I'm a Mac man, meaning mp3s are "it" for me.

I wish Verizon were in bed with Apple, rather than with Microsoft, but I am in the minority.

Perhaps something will change concerning Verizon's treatment of mp3s, but I won't be holding my breath.

Couldn't agree more Rever.
...and I Love my MP3's too !
Would have been nice to have the ability for MP3's to be sorted [playlisted] etc.
