The lowest price i've seen for it is $49.99 with a new two-year contract at walmart......which is where i just got mine from.......its better than $149 at the Verizon store.....

Although you were able to purchase the LG VX8300 from walmart at a walmart price...have fun trying to get the phone serviced at walmart. i've seen the tendencies in agents that when you purchase the phone from big box retailers such as best buy/walmart, they send you right back to the original place of purchase. the problem with these retailers is they are employees hired by walmart and just simply trained to sell, not service.

Wal mart is an awesome place to get that great deal. Just get it serviced at the VZW store. The warranty is from the MANUFACTURER, not the place you bought the phone at.

The real issue is you siad you were buying the phone for your brother.

That price is if YOU buy the phone with a contract in YOUR NAME. If you are going to put your brothers service in YOUR NAME, then go ahead, but if you want to get it as a gift, and have him activate it in his own name, you are going to be dissapointed.

good luck
