hey friends,

Does anyone know of a link to find some mp3 ringtones. I'm not talking about the pay sites either. It just takes too long to find a song, crop it up (using audacity) and then send it to my phone. I've found a couple of peoples personal site to where i just save the file then upload it using BitPim.
I know I'm asking for a huge shortcut but I'm just down right lazy. I was also trying to find sites then sold cd's to hear a preview of the song but when i right click and try to "save as" it would not let me. Any leads would be great

The phone is better than 8100

Your lazyness is your downfall. Verizon software in this phone prevents any way of the mms ringtones of even the paysites, but especially the free ones. Good luck

I've used funformobile.com Just go down the left side of the page and click on "make ringtones" link. Then download a program called Wavepad. It's easy to create a 20 second ringtone from your saved MP3 files. After you create it and save it you can upload it to funformobile and they will send it to your phone no. in a PIX message..costs .25 each time. Save the sound as a ringtone and it sounds perfect. Just follow the screen prompts to cut the ringtone down to 20 seconds and it works great.

VZW makes it too hard to make your own ringtones, so you will have to buy them, and the ones you can buy, I do not like. What I learned to do was record my own by holding the phone mike in front of my CD player's speaker. The songs go into MY SOUNDS, and them you can send them to yourself (25 cents) and download them as ringtones. The sound quality is not quite as good, but it is acceptable. On my Moto V325, when I did this, I could use the downloads directly, without having to send them back to my phone again.
