Do a search through the 8100 forum for call waiting alert. It's a hassle to get this tone removed, but it can be done. For one, you need the actual term the techs use to refer to this tone -- that's why I said to search the 8100 forum, as that's where I got it. Then you have to call CS, talk to a tech, not one of the CSR's, and get them to remove the tone. You might have to call back 2 or 3 times before you get someone to help you, as most of them don't know it can be done and will repeatedly tell you it cannot. I have disabled this feature on my phone, but not on the second phone on my account.

there isn't a way to turn off the beep. i'm assuming you're talking about the audible tone on the callers end and it rings and then beeps after each ring. there's not way to turn that off. although, there is a way to get rid of it by using "ringback tones". i dont know if you know what ringback tones are but it's a feature when someone calls u and instead of the phone ringing, it plays back music (or anything else you choose from what's available). i dont know how old you are but it might not be the most professinal thing if you're using your phone for business or maybe you're just trying to avoid your BF or GF to know you're on the other line. 🙂
