Jabra BT Stereo Headset

I just bought the Jabra BT Stereo Headset. They work fine for everything but music. I've enabled the mp3 player, loaded mp3s, and set the play button to my_mp3s. Whenever I press the play button on the headset it opens the mp3 player but the music plays through the phone speakers rather than the headset (same thing when I push play on the phone). Any Thoughts?

I asked this question recently and was told something about it being disabled by Verizon. WTF? Why would they do this?
